LTP development is definitely needed especially at the kid competitive levels. Quite often on competitive teams some coaches strategies is to play some kids 95% in games and the rest are benchwarmers. Very sad situation. Some say that it is up to the kid to excell so they won't be sitting on the bench. Most kids just want to get excited about playing in the game. I have seen kids leave the sport altogether or their confiendence go down the drain from being a bench warmer. In my opinion I think kids should not be professional benchwarmers. This is degrading and humilitating to a child. Some coaches strategies seems to be play two lines and balance the players together. This allowed for all the kids to feel like they were part of the team. I believe in The LTP. If kids aren't having fun regardless of the level of soccer then they will eventually not want to play the sport which is such a shame. Some coaches are already on board with the importance of developing each player both in training and games. Others are completely focused on winning at any cost. It would be nice to see all coaches being able to implement The LTP development program. I am thankful that we have found coaches who believe that development, play time and fun are important to kids.

The Ontario Soccer Association's Ontario Cup program received a protest from the Kleinburg Nobleton S.C. regarding this Ontario Cup game in which it was alleged that:

Vaughan Azzurri A Under-14 Male Team violated OSA Registration Policy 5.11 in that it did not have the required minimum of nine players with a legal address within the District boundaries of the York Region S.A.

The decision of the Ontario Cup Protest Committee published on September 22 was that:

The protest is upheld and the result of the Ontario Cup final game was that the game result was reversed and the Ontario Cup awarded to Kleinburg Nobleton S.C.
