Canada vs Cuba- Oct 12-FIFA World Cup Qualifier
Canada’s mission to reach the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ has reached its most important stage as Canada takes on Cuba in a must-win match on Friday, October 12th at BMO Field in Toronto.
With two games remaining, Canada currently sits tied with Honduras for second place in CONCACAF Group C. Only the top two teams advance to the final round (known as the ‘Hex’) of CONCACAF qualifying in 2013. The final six teams from CONCACAF will contest three places at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil™, with a fourth CONCACAF team facing the Oceania representative for a final berth.
Canada’s Men’s National Team is once again calling on the Canadian Soccer Community to continue the incredible support that the team has received from thus far from the Canadian Fans! At Canada’s most recent match, over 17,000 fans painted the stadium red at BMO Field to give Canada a huge lift in its crucial 1-0 victory over Panama.
