Kleinburg Nobleton Take Down Mississauga OKD in U16 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup Final
In the Under 16 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup Final, Mississauga OKD met Kleinburg Nobleton 96 Red at 3:00pm at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan. This was a fast-paced game from the opening whistle, with Kleinburg looking like the stronger side. Despite several chances they were unable to find the back of the net, bringing the first half to a close with a 0-0 tie. Kleinburg would keep the pressure on early in the second half and was rewarded with a beautiful goal in the top corner by #3 Michael Scarpone in the 50th minute. Kleinburg would add a second goal in the 65th minute by #31 Jack Gordon, who blasted one past the keeper from 30 yards out. Kleinburg would keep the pressure on and added two more goals before the final whistle: in the 69th minute by #12 Davide Paolucci and in the 90th minute by #17 Jason Rites, for a final score of 4-0. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Mississauga OKD was #5 Lovepreet Jhutty. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Kleinburg was #27 Christopher Cicione.
