Brampton Blast 99 Crowned Under 13 Boys Ontario Cup Champions
In the Under 13 Boys Ontario Cup Finals, Brampton Blast 99 took on Erin Mills 99 Gold at 12:30pm at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan. This game was fast-paced from the opening whistle, as both teams had scoring chances early. As the first half continued, Brampton Blast took over the game as they scored two quick goals in the 30th and 31st minutes on shots from #19 Glenn Muenkat and #16 Shaan Hundal. Brampton would add two more goals right before half time in the 38th and 40th minutes by #7 Ricardo Machado and Muenkat, his second of the match. At half, Brampton had a stranglehold on the match with a 4-0 lead. Erin Mills was able to get one back in the 50th minute from a penalty kick by #19 Germaine Gordon-Hunte. Erin Mills would keep battling and were able to tally a second goal from a corner kick by #12 Jamari Whyte in the 56th minute. Despite their building momentum, Erin Mills was unable to complete the comeback as Brampton Blast would go on to win 4-2. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Erin Mills was goalkeeper #32 Dominik Rajcan. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Brampton Blast was #5 Darrien Parris.
