Woodbridge Strikers Take Under 12 Girls Ontario Cup
In the Under 12 Girls Ontario Cup Final, Brampton Brams United Renegades took on Woodbridge Strikers 2000 at 10:00am at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan. Both teams exchanged chances early but were unable to capitalize on their chances. Woodbridge persisted and was finally rewarded with a goal in the 29th minute by #3 Andrea Tyrrell. At half time, Woodbridge led Brams 1-0. Woodbridge would keep the pressure on in the second half and would add an insurance goal in the 63rd minute by #16 Katilin Tolnai. Brams battled back as best they could, but were unable to find the back of the net. The final score was Woodbridge 2 – Brams 0. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for Woodbridge was #16 Katilin Tolnai. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Brampton Brams was the goalkeeper #25 Jessica Carmabelas.
