VAUGHAN, September 9, 2012 – The Under 14 Girls Ontario Cup Final kicked off at 10:00am at the Soccer Centre in Vaughan between Pickering Power Green and Burlington Bayhawks. Both sides came out a little flat and were unable to create any early chances on net. The Bayhawks picked up the pace towards the end of the first half and found the back of the net twice in the 35^th and 37^th minutes on goals from #10 Haley Kostyshyn and #99 Lauren Raimondo. At half time, Burlington led Pickering 2-0. Pickering battled hard in the second half, but were unable to find an equalizer, giving Burlington the 2-0 win. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Burlington Bayhawks was #17 Sam Serro. The Boston Pizza Player of the Game for the Pickering Power Green was #10 Victoria Love-McCartney. Congratulations to the Burlington Bayhawks, the Under 14 Girls Ontario Cup Champions!
