OSA Membership!
This past weekend, Toronto played host to the 2012 Ontario Summer Games.
Congratulations to all our competitors for a great weekend of competition.
Hi-lites Of The Weekend:
On the officiating side, our referees performed very well. Both Regional and Provincial upgrading Referees were given the opportunity to officiate at the Under 15 Girls and Boys tournament. We also had National and Provincial Assessors on site providing a mentoring opportunity for our new District assessors.
Some of our officials represented the cities of Thunder Bay, Windsor, London and Sudbury. We also had officials from the GTA, E.O.D.S.A. regions in attendance as well.
A thank you to our Manager of Referees Nicky Pearson, and all the Staff, Instructors, Assessors and volunteers for their organization and effort in supporting the 2012 Summer games.
Please see two attached photos of our refereeing crews.
On the athlete side of the games congratulations to all our clubs and participants for an excellent competition.
In the boys’ competition, the Mississauga Dixie Athletics Black won the gold medal by defeating the Woodbridge Strikers 4-3 on penalties after they played to a 1-1 tie.
Ajax FC beat North London 5-0 to take the bronze.
On the girls side of the event, the U15 Brampton Brams United Bandits defeated the Windsor Eastside Kickers 2-0.
Congratulations to all the organizers of the 2012 Ontario Summer Games. A special thank you to our Coaches and support staff who dedicate countless hours towards the achievements of our athletes.
