Ontario U15 Boys Win Game 3 Of Spain Tour

BARCELONA, Spain — The third game in three days was the best so far for Ontario’s U15 Boys Team on their Spain March Break tour. The setting was similar to their first game with a stadium located in the metropolitan area of Barcelona surrounded by apartment buildings and schools.

The Ontario Boys started early and often in this game with the first chance coming off of a cross from Emmanuel Zambazis, which was just headed over the bar by Andrew Lebre.

Emmanuel was at it again in the 8th minute with a beautiful display of control and shooting. He chested the ball down and hit a rocket from just outside the 18 yard box which flew by the Jupiter goalkeeper.

The pressure continued with another goal in the 10th minute. Lucas Puntillo crossed the ball into the 6 yard box to a waiting Jullian Mullian who made no mistake and headed the ball into the Jupiter net.

In contrast to the previous game against Girona, Team Ontario kept their foot on the pedal and continued to pressure with chances coming from Ben Jackson, Emmanuel Zambazis, Dayonn Harris and Julian Mullian.

In the 25th minute off a corner from Emmanuel Zambazis, Dante Cobisa attacked a beautiful cross and headed the ball into the net (as an early Birthday present to himself) to increase the Ontario lead to 3-0.

Starting goalkeeper Luke Iacobellis had little work to do as his team was organized and kept Jupiter at bay.

Half Time Score: 3-0 Ontario

At Half time the coaching staff of Henrich Svetko and Szymon Niedwiecki made numerous changes however the results stayed the same. Team Ontario kept up the pressure causing numerous problems to the Jupiter back line. Ontario was unfortunate that Jupiter was able to score on a giveaway during an Ontario buildup and beat second half sub Dayne St. Clair.

Jupiter kept up some more pressure, but Dayne St. Clair made a beautiful save to keep the 3-1 score intact.

The pressure from Jupiter did not slow down as Team Ontario came back at it again with a goal from Patrice Walker in the 65th minute after a beautiful build up play.

Patrice’s goal sparked the boys again as the pressure on Jupiter was kept up.

On a side volley clearance from Dayne St. Clair in the 73rd minute to Richard Parker, a number of excellent passes ended up on the foot of Steven Furlano who neatly placed the ball into the back of Jupiter’s net.

The game ended 5-1 with Ontario keeping up the pressure until the end.

Final Score: 5 – 1
