Ontario Cup Finals Conclude This Weekend

VAUGHAN, September 16, 2011 – This September 17-18th weekend closes out the 2011 Ontario Cup Finals at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan. The weekend will feature eight Ontario Cup Finals matches as well as the Classics over-35 Provincial Championship match and the Special Olympics Provincial Championship Tournament.

All Ontario Cup Final matches, will be played on the Ontario Soccer Centre Turf Field.

The Ontario Cup Champions from the Under 14 Boys, Under 14 Girls, Under 16 Boys Tier 1, Under 16 Girls, Under 17 Boys Tier 1, Under 17 Girls, Men’s and Women’s divisions will go on to represent Ontario at the National Club Championships from October 5-10th.

The 2011 National Club Championships are held in the following cities:
U14 Girls, U14 Boys – Mount Pearl, Newfoundland
U16 Girls, U16 Boys – Calgary, Alberta
U18 Girls, U18 Boys – Fredericton, New Brunswick (The Under 17 Provincial Champions will represent Ontario)
Women, Men – Brossard, Quebec

The Men’s Final will headline this weekend’s games as the defending champions Scarborough GS United meet the Toronto Celtic for the honour of representing Ontario in the battle for the Challenge Trophy at the National Club Championships to be held in Brossard, Québec, from October 5-11th.
