MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women’s soccer players Deana Everrett and Robin Rushton have been named to ESPN The Magazine’s Academic All-District Second Team announced today by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) officials.
Everrett, a psychology major, and Rushton, a political science major, were two of only 25 student-athletes to earn honors in the University Division of District 2. District 2 covers all universities in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
“It is nice for these two seniors to be recognized for their effort on and off the field,†said Head Coach Nikki Izzo-Brown. “Deana and Robin have taken their academic work just as seriously as their athletic demands. They both are very deserving of this honor.â€
